It is my pleasure to announce Corrections Deputy Diane Hoyt as the April 2015 Employee of the Month.
A 15 year employee of the Sheriff’s Office, Corrections Deputy Hoyt was nominated for the honor by her corporal, Derek Jay, who reports that she spearheaded the plans and operation to clean up the living quarters in the main jail to make them more livable and presentable.
Corporal Jay reports that over time the cells and dorms have become littered with graffiti and other nuisance contraband. He reports that Corrections Deputy Hoyt’s plan included walk-through inspections and a strategy to hold those responsible for additional vandalism accountable through sanctions and/or additional criminal charges if warranted.
Corporal Jay advises that Corrections Deputy Hoyt was subject to an excessive amount of verbal and physical threats from those incarcerated as this project moved forward but she did not allow this to interfere with the task at hand.
The Sheriff’s Office is grateful to Corrections Deputy Hoyt for her commitment to this Office and for upholding our Core values of Professionalism, Integrity and Accountability.
