The Prince George Triad and SALT Council meeting will be held on Monday, May 18 at 1pm in the Prince George Library. Please note that the meeting has been moved up a week due to the Memorial Day holiday. The speaker will be Bill Humphreys. Physician and Community Liaison, for Crater Community Hospice. His topic will be "Caregiver Concerns". Bill comes with a wealth of knowledge having been the caregiver for his wife who had had multiple sclerosis for 18 years. He is the past chairman of the Crater Caregiver Coalition, and currently serves on the Central Virginia Multiple Sclerosis Program Board, is a founder of Partners in Healthcare, and is chairman of the Colonial Heights Food Pantry.
Triad welcomes you. Triad is a partnership between our Sheriff, Police Chief, seniors and senior service providers who work together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly. Our meetings include knowledgeable speakers providing important and pertinent information on avoiding scams, fraud etc as well as valuable information on health issues, safety, medicare, retirement communities, home health givers etc.
The SALT Council meeting will be held immediately following the regular meeting. As usual, any donations of non-perishable food for the Prince George Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.
