Fake news release regarding Grant County Assessor and Live Nation
(This message is sent to assist the Assessor’s Office control a rumor. The Sheriff’s Office is not investigating this incident).
GRANT COUNTY, Wash. (13MAY2015) -- Grant County Assessor Melissa McKnight learned this morning that an emailed fake news release claiming to be from her office had been sent to a few local media outlets.
The email was sent from an email address ([email protected]) which is not associated with official Grant County emails. The email, stating McKnight ordered Live Nation to pay back taxes, is a fake.
