Sonoma County Coroner identifies man killed at residential construction site in Sonoma Valley
Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name the person who died in the industrial accident on the afternoon of May 11, 2015 at a construction site on Garric Avenue, in the Glen Ellen area of the Sonoma Valley.
The deceased is identified as Cody McBride, a 23 year old man from Santa Rosa, CA. His family was located and informed of his death.
McBride was an employee of A+ Pool and Spa company. He was working on the residential job site when an accident occurred involving an excavator.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of his death.
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, commonly known as Cal/OSHA, is conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the industrial accident.
It is the State Department of Industrial Relations that will determine any violations of industry regulations, policy or procedures. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation will parallel that of Cal/OSHA.
