District Attorney Victorious Prosecution of Intimidating Court Officer. Click for details. Sheriff Victor Hill

The Clayton Sheriff's Office would like to congratulate the Clayton County District Attorney's Office for an outstanding job.

The Clayton County District Attorney's Office received an Outstanding Victory by obtaining a conviction in the case of the State v/s Erik Gregory Ausler Sr.

The Clayton County District Attorney, Tracy Lawson, along with Assistant District Attorney John Fowler tried the defendant before a Jury for the offense of Intimidating A Court Officer.

This trial was a result of an incident that occurred on April 18, 2014 when Erick Gregory Ausler threatened Clayton County State Court Chief Judge John Carbo. Erik Ausler threatened to "Pull a Brian Nichols" after the judge denied a continuance in his case.

Yesterday, May 6, 2015 Senior Judge Guy Brantley sentenced Gregory Ausler Sr to 20 years; upon service of 5 years 15 years may be probated.

The District Attorney's Office did a superb job representing the citizens of Clayton County. Thank you for your continued support. Sheriff Victor Hill.
