ONE INJURED IN LA GRANGE TOWNSHIP AIRCRAFT CRASH
Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood J.R. reports that on 5/16/2015 at 19:27 his Office responded to an ultra light aircraft crash at 24970 M 60 in La Grange Township. The pilot and sole occupant of the aircraft, 57-year-old Carl Rosander of Cassopolis, was flying near his residence when his aircraft collided with a tree and crashed.
Rosander had minor injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported by Life Care Ambulance Service to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Deputies believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. This incident remains under investigation.
The Cassopolis Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance assisted the Sheriff's Office at the scene of the crash.
