Agents Arrest Ardmore Man for Aggravated Possession of Child Pornography
Wednesday, April 29, 2015, the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested an Ardmore man for crimes related to child pornography. Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, with help of Ardmore police officers, served a search warrant at 1441 Windsor Drive in Ardmore. Agents arrested Robert Carter (d.o.b. 5/23/1970) at his home and seized various computer-related items. Last month Carter distributed child pornography to an undercover OSBI agent. The computer-related items found at Carter’s home will be sent to the OSBI Digital Evidence Unit for forensic examination. An initial preview of the items revealed more than 100 images of child pornography. Carter was booked into the Carter County jail for aggravated possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. The law allows an aggravated possession complaint when 100 or more images are found on an electronic device.
