Indianapolis Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography, Child Exploitation and Voyeurism.

The below release has been corrected to reflect Russell Taylor was arrested for the listed allegations as compared to having been "charged" as stated in the original release.

Any charging decisions will be made by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

The Indiana State Police regret any confusion this caused for media receiving the original release.

Indianapolis – Tuesday April 29th investigators from the Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 43 year old Russell Taylor of Indianapolis.  It is alleged Taylor was in possession of child pornography.   

The allegations against Taylor include three counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of child exploitation and three counts of voyeurism. This investigation began after police received a tip from a concerned citizen who had received a text message from Taylor. A search warrant was obtained and served at his residence, 1304 Salem Creek Boulevard, Indianapolis. During the execution of the search warrant evidence of child pornography was discovered and Taylor was subsequently arrested. He has been booked into the Marion County Adult Processing Center. A bond has not been set.

Possession of Child Pornography, IC 35-42-4-4(c)  is a Level 6 Felony punishable by six months to two and a half years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. 

Child Exploitation, IC 35-43-4-4(c) is a Level 5 Felony punishable by one to six years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

Voyeurism, IC 35-45-4-5 – Level 6 Felony punishable by six months to two and a half years in prison and a fine up to $10,000.

The Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force is comprised of officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Indiana State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and The US Postal Inspector’s Office.
