Newark Planning Commission is meeting to review the use permit for the E-Z 8 Motel 
On July 2, 2014, the Newark Planning Commission held a meeting to review the use permit for the E-Z 8 Motel. This public hearing was an opportunity for the public to address the Newark Planning Commission regarding the operation and safety of the E-Z 8 Motel.
During the July meeting a number of security measures were suggested to reduce crime, improve the quality of life in the surrounding area, and reduce the impacts on police services. The Planning Commission and E-Z 8 mutually agreed to the security measures and established a period of time for implementation. As a result of this agreement the Planning Commission agreed to continue the revocation hearing to a later date to give E-Z 8 the opportunity implement the security measures.
Tonight, Tuesday April 28, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. the Newark Planning Commission will hold a meeting on the 6th floor of City Hall to review the status of compliance of the security agreement. City Hall is located at 37101 Newark Blvd.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide input to the Planning Commission.
