Quincy man arrested after alleged domestic violence

QUINCY, Wash. (26APRIL2015) - A Quincy man was arrested this afternoon after an alleged domestic violence incident between him and his 18-year-old stepson.

Corey Linscott, 36, was taken into custody without incident after he left the home prior to the arrival of Quincy Police, who were answering a call around 12:10 p.m. for a disturbance at the home in the 200 block of H Street Northeast in Quincy. Linscott is a Grant County Sheriff's Deputy who was off-duty at the time.

When Quincy officers arrived, they discovered the stepson and his mother attempting to leave the residence. Officers did not get a response from Linscott when they called into the home. Linscott returned to the home about two hours later and was taken into custody without incident. He had left the home prior to the arrival of the initial responding officers and was never barricaded inside the home. Nobody was injured.

Erring on the side of caution, the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team was called to assist. Officials on scene were uncertain as to Linscott's safety, and the TRT was demobilized when it was discovered Linscott was not barricaded inside the home.

Linscott was arrested for investigation of fourth degree assault-domestic violence for the alleged altercation with his 18-year-old stepson.
