The New Jersey Marathon will be held on 04/26/15 and will come through Asbury Park between 0830 & 1230 hours. Asbury Park is one of many shore communities who are involved in and assist with this great event. Affected areas are Deal Lake Drive, Ocean Avenue, Lake Avenue and the boardwalk. See attached map. There will be several road closures by APPD. Expect minor traffic delays during noted times. There will be no parking at the following locations:
East side of Kingsley Street from Deal Lake Drive to Seventh Avenue.
North side of Seventh Avenue from Kingsley Street to Ocean Avenue.
The entire east side of Ocean Avenue.
South side of Asbury Avenue from Ocean Avenue to Kingsley Street.
South side of Cookman Avenue from Kingsley Street to Wesley Lake Avenue.
All of Wesley Lake Avenue.
South side of Lake Avenue from Wesley Lake Avenue to Bond Street. All Lake Avenue permit holders will be permitted to park on Cookman Avenue during the noted times. Vehicles parked in the noted "no parking" areas are subject to a summons and tow. The road closures and restricted parking are put in place to ensure that all residents, businesses, participants and spectators are safe while the event is taking place.
