Kern Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern Regional Training Center will be offering an upcoming student Basic Post Academy which is scheduled to start in July 2015. Students who complete the Basic Post Academy will receive a POST Law Enforcement Certificate and be eligible to apply with most California law enforcement agencies.

The academy is twenty-two weeks long and administered in a structured and disciplined environment. Students are responsible for tuition and other expenses while attending the Academy. Military veterans may qualify for paid tuition through the GI Bill/Cerro Coso Community College Veteran’s Services. For further information on GI Bill requirements call 760-384-6291.
