Decatur Police Officer Arrested and Charged with Two Felonies
(Decatur, IN)-A 25 year old Decatur man turned himself into the Adams County Jail this evening after an arrest warrant was issued for him following a week long investigation by an Indiana State Police Detective from the Fort Wayne Post.
According to Detective Bobby Jackson, on Wednesday, April 15th he received a complaint alleging that Spencer R. Wilson had been communicating with two minor females who are under the age of 18 but at least 16 years of age via text messages and Snap Chat and sending them photographs of his genitals.
As a result of Jackson’s investigation, Wilson who was attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy as an Officer with the Decatur Police Department was charged by the Adams County Prosecutor’s Office with the following charges:
- 2 Counts of Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, Level 6 Felonies
Wilson is currently being held on a $4,500.00 surety bond. Questions regarding Wilson's employment status should be directed to the Decatur Police Department.
