Compton Sheriff’s Station has received information that a Compton elder was being targeted in a phone scam. An unknown caller is impersonating a Sergeant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, informing the victim that a warrant for his arrest has been issued due to an unanswered Jury Summons, and is subject to arrest, unless payment of $900.00 are remitted to specific accounts to clear the warrant. 

We are investigating all leads.  If you believe you have been a victim of a scam, please contact LASD-Compton Station (310) 605-6500.

Be vigilant of these fraudulent calls and call Compton Sheriff’s Station with any information.
