April 16-20, 2015

4/16/15

1951 Hours: CSO Parks investigated a residential burglary on Jasmine Avenue. Suspect(s) gained entry via a bathroom window.

2122 Hours: A security guard from BJ’s restaurant called to advise he witnessed an auto burglary. The suspect got into the passenger seat of a getaway vehicle at which time the driver accelerated in reverse almost striking the security guard. The driver then put the car in drive and drove toward the security guard a second time at which point the security guard had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck by the vehicle. Officer Schwerin responded to investigate and found two additional vehicles were broken into.

2230 Hours: Officer Taylor investigated a residential burglary on Dupont Ave. Suspect(s) gained entry via a kitchen window.

4/17/15

0712 Hours: Officer Katz investigated a residential burglary and theft of a vehicle on Robertson Ave. The suspect(s) entered an open rear door, took vehicle keys from the counter, and drove the vehicle away. The vehicle was located a short distance away with the keys near-by.

0735 Hours: Officer Bloom investigated an auto burglary on Truckee Ct.

1515 Hours: Officer Horst investigated a theft of license plates on Mayhews Landing Rd. The theft occurred overnight.

1607 Hours: CSO Parks investigated a residential burglary on Arbeau Dr. Entry was via the rear sliding door. The burglary occurred overnight.

1911 Hours: Officer Jackman handled a Citizen’s arrest/shoplifting case at the Newpark Mall JC Penney store. A 32-year-old female from San Jose was arrested for shoplifting.

1924 Hours: CSO Parks investigated a hit and run traffic collision involving a parked vehicle that occurred on Toulon Pl.

2116 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a restraining order violation that occurred at a residence on Potrero Dr. resulting in the arrest of a 34-year-old male from San Jose.

4/18/15

1008 Hours: Officer Nobbe contacted a male subject in the parking lot of 39949 Balentine Drive who was reported to be checking closed business doors. A 33-year-old male from Fremont was contacted and arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

1532 Hours: Officer Musantry responded to the Goodyear Tire Retailer for a disturbance call. He arrested a 36-year-old male (transient) for public intoxication.

1643 Hours: Officer Norvell and Officer Musantry responded to the area of Cedar Blvd and Saint Mark Ave for a battery that just occurred. A 33-year-old male from Newark was arrested for battery causing serious bodily injury, obstructing and delaying a peace officer, and public intoxication.

1744 Hours: Officer Homayoun handled a Citizen’s arrest/shoplifting case at the Newpark Mall JC Penney Store. A 46-year-old female from Fremont was arrested for shoplifting.

2039 Hours: Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Shell gas station on Thornton Ave. Officer Losier arrested a 26-year-old female from Hayward for two Felony warrants and a Misdemeanor warrant.

4/19/15

0055 Hours: During a traffic stop on Mayhews Landing Road, Officer Losier arrested a 29-year-old male from San Jose for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant.

0421 Hours: Officer Khairy investigated a solo vehicle traffic collision that occurred on Mowry Ave near 880. A 35-year-old male from Fremont was arrested for DUI and no driver’s license.

1056 Hours: Officer Neithercutt located a stolen 1997 Honda CRV on Wintergreen Dr.

1113 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated a residential burglary that occurred on Jonquil Dr. Entry was made through a rear bathroom window.


4/20/15

0024 Hours: During a check of a suspicious vehicle parked on Amador Pl, Officer Kovach arrested a 34-year-old male from Newark for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
