Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Ricky Dwayne Roberts, 54, of South Sterling Street in Morganton, with misdemeanor larceny.
Investigators published a surveillance photo of a man caught on camera at Lake James Antique Mall, on Harmony Grove Road in Nebo. It was believed that the man stole two electric Lionel locomotives and an electric Lionel tinder car, worth a total of $300, from the business on Feb. 27.
A tip led to Roberts’ arrest.
The property was recovered.
