Putnam County—On Saturday evening, April 18, at 5:14, Indiana State Police and Putnam County emergency agencies responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash on the westbound exit ramp of Interstate 70 at US 231.
Preliminary investigation revealed a green 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier was westbound on Interstate 70 when the driver, 46-year-old Patricia L. Moberley of Greencastle, IN., lost control near the westbound exit ramp causing her vehicle to rollover. Witnesses reported the Cavalier appeared to be traveling at an excessive speed and operating erratically prior to the crash. Moberley was entrapped after the crash and extricated by members of the Cloverdale Fire/Rescue Department. She was transported to Putnam County Hospital for treatment of extensive hand and wrist injuries. Moberley was later transferred to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment. Numerous alcoholic beverage containers were found at the crash site.
Patricia L. Moberley failed a chemical test for intoxication by testing .25%. Moberley was cited into the Putnam County judicial process due to her extensive injuries and will appear in court at a later date. She has been initially charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Prior (felony).
The crash was investigated by ISP Trooper David Cox Jr. Assisting were the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Putnam County Operation Life, and the Cloverdale Fire/Rescue Department.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
