On April 18, 2015 at approximately 2:57 AM, officers were dispatched to motor vehicle/motorcycle collision at Hollywood Road and the I-27 southbound frontal road.  Officers determined that Anthony Payton Warren, BM, 24 of Amarillo had been east bound on Hollywood Road on a Triumph motorcycle.  He ran a red light.  He struck a 2011 Mercury Mariner that had been southbound on the IH-27 service road.  The Mercury was driven by Leanna Hope Borchardt, WF, 26 of Amarillo.  Warren died at the scene due to injuries received in the collision.  Borchardt was not injured in the crash.  Justice of the Peace Clay Houdashell has ordered a toxicology screen for Warren.  Speed coupled with the red light violation were factors in this collision.  Warren had been wearing a helmet.  The incident is being investigated by the traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
