The Sachse Police Department announces “Design the Squad car” contest.
The Sachse Police Department is proud to announce our latest community outreach effort. This time, we are reaching right out into our schools!
On April 6, 2015, the Sachse City Council authorized the Police Department to purchase a replacement car that will be assigned to one of the Departments School Resourse Officers. Since this car will not be seeing regular patrol duty and will be representing the Department and the Schools, we are going to have a contest to design the wrap for the car.
The contest will be open to all students and faculty of all the schools in Sachse, both GISD and WISD. Templates are being distributed to all of the schools for those who would like to participate. Although the templates may make it easier, they are not going to be required for submission.
Entries must be received back by the end of the day on Friday May 8, 2015. The SRO’s will pick them up from the schools. Finalists will be selected and announced for voting by Friday May 15th. The Police Department will post the finalist designs online for voting and a winner selected on Friday May 22, 2015.
