#LASD Detectives Seek the Public’s Help Identifying Victims of Identity Theft, Lancaster Station
On Wednesday March 18, 2015, Lancaster Sheriff Station Detectives arrested 62 year-old, Katherine Gonsalves for multiple charges of identity theft that occurred between 2012 and March 18, 2015.
During the investigation, Lancaster detectives discovered suspect Gonsalves used approximately 74 different aliases when committing the crimes.
It is believed suspect Gonsalves has victimized other people and organizations including well-known people in the entertainment industry. On previous occasions, Gonsalves impersonated a representative / owner of fictitious companies in an attempt to organize fraudulent fundraising events. She has been known to rent properties and activate utilities in different names.
Gonsalves is currently being held on Federal Probation violations.
Los Angeles County Lancaster Station detectives believe there are additional victims and are seeking the public’s help identifying them.
