On April 16, 2015 the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged 16-year-old Julian Ambrose of Oakland with murder, attempted murder, and some enhancement clauses in connection with the death of Chyemil Pierce. Ambrose is to be prosecuted as an adult.
Ambrose is the seventh suspect charged by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office in the homicide of Chyemil Pierce, 30, who was fatally shot in the 2800 block of Chestnut Street on March 9, 2015. Six other suspects in this case have previously been arrested and charged with homicide, attempted homicide, accessory to murder and other crimes in this case. Homicide investigators continue to identify additional suspects in connection with this case.
