Full Notification

On 1/16/15 an attempted residential burglary occurred on the 600 block of Springer Terrace in Los Altos. The suspect knocked on the front door and when there was no immediate answer, he went to the back of the residence. While attempting to gain entry into the home, the suspect and homeowner, who was inside the residence, noticed each other and the suspect fled the scene. Los Altos Police Department investigators identified the suspect as Sunnyvale resident, MARCELINO  RUIZ AHUMADA, DOB: 10/21/92.  Los Altos Police Department Detectives obtained a warrant for Ahumada’s arrest and learned that he was already in custody at the Santa Clara County Jail on unrelated charges. On 4/15/15 Ahumada was served the arrest warrant.
