Burglary Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) A Piedmont man was arrested and charged in connection to a burglary, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Dustin Cecil Vaughn, 25, was arrested Saturday, April 11 and is charged with one count of third degree burglary, which is a felony, and one count of third degree theft by deception, a misdemeanor,” investigator Jeremy Lasseter said.
Vaughn allegedly broke into a rental property, located on Posey Road, April 5, around 11:00 pm.
The owner of the residence was unaware of the burglary until approached by Investigator Lasseter. Information received from another case led investigators to the victim, where they asked the owner to check the rental residence. The victim confirmed a burglary had occurred.
Vaughn was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $3,500 bond.
A second suspect in the case is still being sought.
