Press Release: Wayside Burglaries Solved!

Anthony Goodwine age 50 Bronx, NY

NARRATIVE:
The Township of Ocean Police Department investigated numerous residential burglaries in the Wayside section of the township over an eleven month period in 2014. The burglaries occurred primarily in the evening hours while houses were dark and residents were out for the evening. During those burglaries, numerous items of jewelry, cash and in one instance a firearm was taken.

An intensive and thorough investigation took place between January and December 2014. In January of this year the Township of Ocean Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives identified Felix Bruno and Anthony Goodwine as suspects in these burglaries. The identity of these two suspects was the result of a multi-jurisdictional investigation. With the assistance of and information provided, by the Edison Township Police Department, East Brunswick Department Police, Port Chester New York Police Department, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Unit, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Decker, the United States Drug Enforcement Agency and Criminal Intelligence Analyst Lisa Ford from the Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized
Crime Law Enforcement Network (MAGLOCLEN) has led to the arrest of Felix Bruno and Anthony Goodwine on numerous charges relating to those burglaries.

Felix Bruno has been charged by Detective Bryan Morgan with thirteen counts of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and possession of burglary tools. In addition he was charged with one count of possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited from possessing firearms. Bail was set by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge John R. Tassini at $780,500.00 with no ten percent option.

Anthony Goodwine has been charged with one count of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited from possessing firearms. Bail was set by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge John R. Tassini at $175,500.00 with no ten percent option. Both subjects are currently incarcerated in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center. Both will appear at a future court hearing.
