APD investigating early morning robbery in north Amarillo. No arrest at this time.
On Friday April 10th at 12:25am, APD officers were sent to the 2600 block of NW 9th reference to a robbery that had just taken place. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, a 63 year old male. The victim stated that he was in his residence in a back bedroom when he heard someone kicking in the door of his residence. The victim attempted to go to the door but is limited in his mobility due to two prosthetic legs and was unable to defend himself. The two B/M’s suspects were armed with handguns demanded money from the homeowner. The suspects were also carrying flashlights and continued to shine the light in the homeowners face to prevent him from getting a good description of the suspects. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the home along with a handgun and various medications belonging to the homeowner. The suspects are only described as being in their 20-30’s. There is no suspect vehicle description.
