On March 31, 2015 the Chittenden Unit for Special Investigations began to investigate a series of complaints involving women being followed and harassed in the Loomis Street area of Burlington. A press release was issued on March 31, 2015 regarding this investigation. Several people responded to the press release with information that was helpful in identifying a person if interest. The subsequent investigation has led to the arrest of 34 year old Joseph L. Strong of Sheldon, VT.
Strong was cited to appear in Chittenden Criminal Court with an appearance date of April 10, 2015 at 0830 hours. He has been charged with Stalking (3 counts) and Prohibited Acts (1 count).
