Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who died in the crash of the ultra-light aircraft on the afternoon of April 3, 2015 in the area of Browns Lane in Petaluma.
The deceased is identified as David Michael Wright, a 51 year old man from Petaluma. His family was located and informed of his death.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of Wright’s death.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the airplane crash.
