4/3/15

0618 Hours: Officer Rodgers contacted a disabled motorist at the intersection of Cherry St and Central Ave. As it turns out the disabled vehicle was stolen and the driver, a 36-year-old male from Hayward, was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools.

1126 Hours: Det. Ramos investigated an auto burglary that occurred on the 37900 block of Cedar Blvd.

1224 Hours: Officer Katz investigated a theft at Public Storage on Cedar Blvd.

1236 Hours: Officer Knutson investigated a residential burglary on the 4800 block of Humber Pl.

1652 Hours: Officer Horst investigated the theft of a white, 24’ Wells Cargo trailer from the 35300 block of Fircrest St.

2351 Hours: During a traffic stop on Thornton Ave, Officer Homayoun arrested a 21-year-old female from Newark for a warrant.

1042 Hours: Officer Lopez investigated a theft of a black 1997 Mitsubishi Montero from the 8500 block of Mahogany Pl.

1343 Hours: Officer Horst investigated an auto burglary on the 8500 block of Peachtree Ave.

2219 Hours: Officer Stone Investigated a hit & run traffic collision (vehicle vs. parked vehicle) that occurred on Brittany Ave.

0125 Hours: During a security check of Newark Square, Officer Mavrakis arrested a 35-year-old male from Newark for public intoxication.

0329 Hours: Officer Losier investigated a traffic collision at the Sycamore Bay Apartment complex involving a motorist that struck multiple parked vehicles.

0421 Hours: Two intoxicated co-workers got in a fight over a business debt in front of a residence on Jarvis Ave. A 30 –year-old male from Stockton was arrested for robbery and battery with serious injury.

1159 Hours: During a pedestrian stop at Newark Blvd and Hwy 84, Officer Lopez arrested a 50-year-old female from Newark for warrants.

1208 Hours: Officer Nobbe investigated a burglary from Public Storage on Fircrest St.

1207 Hours: Officer Reyes investigated a stolen 2000 Honda Accord from the 37200 block of Elm St.

1307 Hours: NPD Dispatch received multiple 911 calls regarding a vehicle collision at the intersection of Thornton Ave and Cedar Blvd. NPD Officers arrived at the collision scene and determined that one vehicle had lost control during a turn from northbound Cedar Blvd onto eastbound Thornton Ave while attempting to regain traction, the vehicle collided with two other vehicles stopped in the opposite lanes of traffic. None of the involved parties reported any injuries.

2101 Hours: During a traffic stop at the Towne Place Suites, Officer Johnson arrested a 35-year-old male from Fremont for violation of a restraining order, possession of concentrated cannabis, and possession of a dangerous weapon. The passenger, a 34-year-old female from Fremont, was arrested for providing a false name and possession of drug paraphernalia.
