RE: Alcohol Countermeasures Team
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the citizens of Jackson, the Jackson Police Department will be performing Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city this Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint on Saturday, 11 April 2015, from
2330 until 0115 on Hollywood Dr. at Old Hickory Blvd., and one Sunday, 12 April 2015 from 0145 until 0345 on South Highland near the entrance to Wal-Mart and Lowe’s.
During these Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement,
officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from
the roadways. However, as non-compliance with the safety belt and
child restraint laws place people in danger these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.
This project funded solely by the Tennessee Governor's Highway Safety Office.
