ACCUSED: Avery D. Hopes age 20 Asbury Park, NJ
Shakeem N. Gilpin age 20 Asbury Park, NJ
Ralph J. Parkman 3rd age 19 Neptune, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 4/6/15 at approximately 3:00 am, officers responded to the area of Rustic Drive in reference to a car burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the three accused in the area. An investigation determined that the three had committed several car burglaries in the Middlebrook Apartment Complex. A further investigation revealed that the three were in possession of stolen items from cars in the apartment complex as well as from vehicles in Long Branch and Middletown.
Avery Hopes, Shakeem Gilpin and Ralph Parkman 3rd were all charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. . In addition, Hopes was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the City of Asbury Park. Bail was set by Judge Timothy McGoughran for Hopes and Parkman at $7500 no ten percent option and $2500 with no ten percent option for Gilpin. All three were transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold to await a future court hearing.
