This evening, OSBI agents and Bethany police with the help of the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office Tactical Team arrested Selvin Gonzalez (2/24/1978) for first degree murder of the elderly man found dead inside his Bethany home March 23. Gonzalez also set the house at 6712 N.W. 24 on fire. When Gonzalez was arrested at 2814 B. South McKinley, OKC, he was badly burned from that fire. He was immediately taken from the residence to Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City. Gonzalez is from Guatemala. Miguel Martinez, who lived at 2814 B. South McKinley, was also arrested for accessory after the fact. Martinez (9/25/1972) was booked into the Oklahoma County jail. The medical examiner has not yet positively identified the murder victim. Gonzalez was also arrested for first degree arson.
