LOCATION: Parking lot of 14305 Bear Valley Rd., Victorville
VICTIM: Confidential – 3 year old male
SUSPECT: Yvonne Camargo, 39, Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, April 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. a Victorville resident reported possible child abuse after seeing a video posted on a social media site. The video was filmed on Wednesday at about 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of a Victorville retail complex and showed an adult female strike a child in the face with an IPad type device.
Deputy Abernathy identified the woman in the video as Yvonne Camargo, and made contact with her at her Victorville home. The deputy examined the child for injuries, conducted a criminal interview with Camargo, and notified Children & Family Services. The case is being submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.
