Motor Vehicle Crash with vehicle striking Phoenix Diner
On April 3rd at approximately 10:24am, Absecon Police responded to the area of Route 30 and Southwest Street for a reported motor vehicle accident. Patrol arrived to find that a 2014 Nissan Maxima operated by Anthony Celano 25yrs old of Brigantine had struck a 2013 Ford E-250 van operated by Peter Lore 65 yrs old of Marmora. After the initial impact, the Nissan Maxima struck the corner of the Phoenix Diner. Initial investigation revealed that the Ford exited Mikes Absecon Auto Repair onto Route 30 (West) and attempted to make a right hand turn onto Southwest Street. The Nissan was travelling west on Route 30 in the outside (slow) lane when the accident occurred. Mr. Celano was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This accident is being investigated by Ofc Cavileer of the Absecon Police Department. 609-641-0667
