SATURDAY, APRIL 4th, 2015 DOORS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM 8:30AM - 2:00PM The staff of the Palm Springs Police Department invite you, your family and friends to our Open House. Open House is our opportunity to share the joys of our profession with the community. The men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department and our many volunteers and community partners will host this event. This event will provide a chance to get a closer look at our chosen profession. We invite you to learn more about our equipment, and what we do every day. Palm Springs Police Staff will be on hand to answer your questions about a career in public service. Our volunteers will explain the requirements to become a member of our PSPD Volunteer family. Friends of the Animal Shelter will be available to discuss the process of adopting an animal from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES Events - Demos 5th Annual Run For Ike will start and end in front of our police department. The Run starts at 8:00 am and will be over at approximately 9:30am. K-9 Demonstrations will take place at 09:30am and 12:30pm Shoot / Don't Shoot Simulator - Members of the public can get a chance to experience some of the training we provide to our officers. Friends of the Animal Shelter - Pet Adoption New York Life Insurance - Your Child can be finger printed and a photo identification will be provided to the parents for child safety purposes. Palm Springs Police Officers Association will be on the grill, cooking food for all those in attendance, and it's FREE! Exhibits (Exhibits will be open from 8:30am-2pm) We will have a wide range of exhibits for you to enjoy!
