Elgin Man Wanted on Warrants Arrested in Louisiana

An Elgin man wanted on warrants related to a 2014 death is apprehended in Louisiana. OSBI agents had warrants filed on Donovan Dixon for second degree manslaughter and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Dixon injected Chester Morris III with methamphetamine after Morris had already passed out from an earlier injection of heroine. Two other people implicated in the case have already been arrested. Mike Ball was arrested on a warrant for second degree manslaughter and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. Cynthia Carlisle was arrested as a material witness. Morris died inside an Elgin apartment bathtub August 6, 2014, after the injections. Comanche County sheriff deputies are transporting Dixon from Lafayette Parish Louisiana where he was arrested Monday night. Dixon will be booked into the Comanche County jail.
