Attempted Child Abduction Arrest - Solana Beach

The Sheriff's Department has arrested a suspect in connection with an attempted child abduction at Skyline Elementary School in Solana Beach on March 23rd.

22-year old Jack Henry Doshay was taken into custody around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1st in the 25000 block of Adelanto Drive in Laguna Niguel. Doshay's whereabouts were provided to Sheriff's investigators by his attorney.

Doshay is facing charges of cruelty to a child, false imprisonment with violence and kidnapping. He is now in custody at the Vista Jail. Doshay will be arraigned in Vista Court on Friday, April 3rd at 1:00 p.m.

We'd like to thank the public and the media for their assistance. The Sheriff's Department and San Diego County Crime Stoppers received about 150 calls and tips related to this case. Detectives investigated every single lead, which lead to an arrest.

The Sheriff's Department would also like to thank the U.S. Marshal's Service, which oversee the Fugitive Task Force, and the San Diego Division of the FBI for their assistance in this investigation.
