Two Arrested In Connersville

Two Arrested In Connersville

 

Connersville – Two traffic stops in the Connersville area yesterday netted two separate felony arrests for Possession of Heroin. Yesterday around 3 p.m. Trooper Steve Tipton stopped a south bound blue Pontiac Vibe on Waterloo Road, just south of CR 440 N. for exceeding the posted 40 M.P.H. speed limit.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Officer Leonard Baker was nearby and came to assist. After a K-9 search of the vehicle, the driver, Chandler R. Fosnight, age 23 of Connersville, was found to be in possession of Heroin, Level 6 Felony.  He was also charged with Conspiracy to Deal, Level 6 Felony, and lodged in the Fayette County Jail.

Then around 7 p.m. Trooper Andrew Taylor stopped a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado on 30th St. at Park Rd., in Connersville, for exceeding the 30 M.P.H. speed limit.  Connersville Police Department K-9 Officer Chris Scott was nearby and came to assist Taylor. 

After an exterior search of the truck by Officer Scott’s K-9 partner, a passenger in the truck, Ernest Chasteen, age 36 of Connersville, was arrested for Level 6 Felony Conspiracy to Deal a Narcotic, and Level 6 Felony Possession of Heroin. He was lodged in the Fayette County Jail.
