Are your children safe?
The Marietta Police Department (MPD) is dedicated to protecting its citizens in every way possible. While our focus is on finding ways to fight and prevent crime we are also dedicated in finding ways to educate and protect our youth. To that end MPD is involved in protecting children through a program called Radkids. Radkids is a personal empowerment safety education which includes a 10 hour curriculum for children ages 5 to 12. Topics covered include: bully prevention; internet, home, school, vehicle, and outdoor safety; predator tricks, and physical resistance strategies against child abduction. MPD currently has 4 trained Radkids instructors dedicated to helping teaching your kids to be safe.
MPD has two classes currently scheduled for April. Openings are still available for these FREE classes so reserve your spot now. Please sign up your own kids or refer us to parents with kid’s ages 5 to 12. The dates for the April classes are:
• The week of April 6 to 10 (5 consecutive days), M-F from 6pm to 8pm.
• 5 consecutive Saturdays beginning 4/18 to 5/16, 10am to 12pm.
Parents interested in signing up their children should contact Detective Mark Erion at 770-794-5363 or by email at [email protected]. The classes are FREE of charge!
