On Monday, March 30, 2015 at 4:19 PM, Crystal Lake Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, 265 West Virginia Street (Rt. 14) in Crystal Lake. Upon arrival officers learned that a subject had committed a robbery and departed with a yet undetermined amount of cash.
The subject was described as a white male, approximately 37 years of age, brown hair and facial stubble, wearing a dark grey baseball style cap, with sunglasses on the visor, a red pullover hooded sweatshirt with a white logo on the front and white stripe on the shoulder, blue denim pants, white and blue Nike athletic shoes.
A search of the area did not locate the suspect.
This matter remains under investigation by the Crystal Lake Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
