Armed Robber Arrested – On Friday, March 27, 2015 at about 3:26 AM, Oakland Police officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of International Boulevard to investigate a report of an armed robbery. The two victims provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle. The information was broadcast over the radio and officers located a vehicle similar to the suspect’s car in the 3800 block of Grand Avenue. They conducted a traffic enforcement stop and detained the driver, who was positively identified and placed under arrest. A cell phone belonging to one of the victims was recovered.
Armed Robber Arrested – On Thursday, March 26, 2015 at about 9:47 PM, Oakland Police officers were dispatched to investigate an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 4400 block of Evans Avenue. The victims told the officers they had been robbed at gunpoint. Their description of the suspect and his vehicle was put out over the radio. At 10:25 PM, officers on patrol located the suspect vehicle in the 3700 block of Maybelle Street. The three men inside the car were detained. Both victims positively identified their assailant, who was arrested for armed robbery. Some of the victims’ stolen items were recovered.
