UPDATE: Missing Person At Risk Found Safe - San Marcos

Sheriff's Deputies have found Victoria Arizmendi safe. We thank the public for their assistance.

The Sheriff's Department wants your help in finding a missing person at risk in San Marcos.

81-year-old Victoria Arizmendi was last seen just before 7:00 a.m. today (March 26) at her home in the 500 block of Rush Drive. She suffers from numerous health issues, including dementia.

Before Arizmendi walked away from her home, she reportedly told her daughter she wanted to go climb a mountain.

There are mountains located just south of Arizmendi's home in the community of Discovery Hills. Sheriff's Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers will be searching the area.

Arizmendi is a Hispanic woman who stands 5' tall, weighs 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing glasses, a large brown jacket, grey or blue pants and a black purse.
