If you felt a loud bang or rumbling you mat have experienced a local earthquake. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). A Magnitude 2.9 earthquake occurred at 6:08 PM today 2 kilometers west of Lake in the Hills. The Huntley Police Department has received calls about a "bang" but no incidents of damage have been reported.
