Free Boater Education courses throughout Grant County

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit will offer Boating Education Courses throughout Grant County. The schedule is listed below.

The course is free and no registration is required, EXCEPT for the Quincy class listed below. All materials and testing supplies are provided.

This boater education card is required to operate motor vessels and personal watercraft with 15 horsepower or more.
The minimum age to obtain the Boater Education Card is 12 years old.

Those born before January 1, 1955 are exempt from the Boater Education Card requirement.

April 11: Ephrata - 124 Enterprise St SE, Public Works Building - 8 a.m. – 5p.m.
May 16: Moses Lake – 1274 Lowry St, Sheriff’s Substation – 8 a.m. – 5p.m.
June 1, 2: Quincy - 21 J St SE, Quincy Junior High – 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. each day
July 18: Moses Lake – 1274 Lowry St, Sheriff’s Substation, 8 a.m. – 5p.m.
August 22: Ephrata -124 Enterprise St SE, Public Works Building - 8 a.m. – 5p.m.
September 19: Moses Lake- 1274 Lowry St, Sheriff’s Substation - 8 a.m. – 5p.m.
October: TBA
