Investigators need the public’s help locating a man who is allegedly stealing from residences across the county.
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 42-year-old Jeffrey Scott Thomas, whose last known address was 166 McIntire Road in Old Fort. He is wanted for four counts of possession of stolen goods, three counts of breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering and one count of obtaining property by false pretense.
He drives a blue 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback with tag number AFJ-3306.
Thomas is described as a white male who stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has long brown wavy hair, green eyes and a tattoo on his right arm.
