Vehicle Vandalism in Bird Tract Residential Area

This morning, shortly after 3:30 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Flamingo Drive and the 1900 block of Pelican Place regarding residents’ reports of sounds of glass breakage. Officers discovered over one dozen parked, unoccupied cars with windows shattered by vandals who had apparently driven through the area using a BB gun. Later in the morning, additional reports were received from additional residents in the area who found similar damage caused to their vehicles’ windows. 33 vehicles, so far, have reportedly had windows shot out by the involved vandals. Involved victims’ cars were parked in the city’s bird tract residential area, including addresses along Flamingo Drive, Mandarin Drive, Goldeneye Place, Mallard Drive, Pelican Place and Albatross Drive.

Possible suspect lead information is being gathered by the CMPD Detective Bureau. This series of vandalisms is actively being investigated, and anyone with information should contact CMPD Detectives at 714-754-5637. No further details are being released at this time.
