TYPE OF CRIME: Assault with a deadly weapon (stabbing)

LOCATION: 5500 Block of Monterey Road

VICTIM 1: Withheld - 22 year-old, male, City of Hollister Resident

VICTIM 2: Withheld- 32 year-old male, City of Hollister Resident

SUSPECT #1: 20-25 year-old, White male adult, 5’10” in height, weighing approximately 180 lbs. no further description provided

SUSPECT #2: 30-40 year-old, Hispanic male adult, 5’10” – 6’0” in height, no further description provided

Details:

On 03/23/2015 at approximately 4:24 pm, Gilroy Police Officers responded to the 5500 Block of Monterey Road for an unknown disturbance. At arrival, officers located two injured victims. The first victim appeared to have sustained a single stab wound to his back, and the second victim suffered a head injury. Medical personnel arrived a short time later to render aid. The victims were transported to an area trauma center via air ambulance where they are expected to survive.

Preliminary information revealed that this incident was not random or motivated by gang affiliation. A verbal altercation ensued between the involved parties prior to the assault. The suspects fled the area in what witnesses described as a dark-colored Sports Utility Vehicle.

Multiple officers responded to conduct an area canvass for the suspect vehicle. Despite their efforts the suspects were not located. The Gilroy Police Department is asking anyone who may have witness this incident to contact the police department.
