Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Hwy 74 just before Hwy 120, for speeding almost 90 in a 70 mile per hour zone.
The vehicle was driven by a Avery Shea Smith, who was charged by citation for speeding.
Further investigation during the traffic stop lead to the arrest of Andrew Robert Holloway, 24, for (1) count Possession of Schedule II, (1) count Assault on Government Official, (1) count Resisting Public Officer, (1) count Injury to Personal Property, and (1) count possession of Marijuana.
Holloway was booked into the Rutherford County Detention Facility and received a secured bond of $130,000.
Another female passenger in the vehicle, Joanna Marie Cain, received a citation for an open container.
A firearm was located in the vehicle and seized.
This case is still under investigation, and more charges are possible.
