Full Notification

The suspect who was barricaded in his residence is in custody and Highway 101 has been reopened.  After several hours of communicating with the suspect and attempts to get him to come out of his residence were unsuccessful, at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies deployed gas and the suspect came outside shortly afterwards.  He was taken into custody and Highway 101 was reopened.

The suspect has been identified as 56-year-old Ronald Carrari of Los Alamos.  He was booked on charges of making criminal threats and resisting arrest.  The investigation is on-going and more charges may follow.
