The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men in connection with the shooting in Petaluma this morning.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men in connection with the shooting that occurred at a residence in the 5600 block Old Redwood Highway in Petaluma early this morning. Two men were booked into Sonoma County jail for the crime.
Woodruff Hilton, a 22 year old man from Penngrove, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon – firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime, obstructing an investigation, and violation of probation. He is being held without bail.
Daveon Hicks, a 20 year old man from Fairfax in Marin County, was arrested for being an accessory to the assault with a firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime and obstructing an investigation, as well as a violation of probation. He is being held without bail.
They will be arraigned on the charges on March 24, 2015 at 1:30 in courtroom 9.
Detectives continue to investigate the crime, including the events leading up to and following the shooting. They are still searching for and collecting further evidence associated with the crimes.
The victim remains in a local hospital and being treated for a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive his injury. Detectives will interview him when he has recovered.
