Weather Alert: 1st Day of Spring Snow Storm
Afternoon update: Snow for first day of Spring tomorrow – A change on onset and slightly higher snow accumulation expected... Clouds will overspread the region late tonight and snow will likely affect the region from mid to late morning. The steadiest snow is likely to fall from afternoon to the evening given the time of year, there will be a tight gradient of snow accumulation from shore areas to just a few miles inland and a high level of variability on the ground surface with this storm.
With that said, not all the accumulation will occur on pavement, but a moderate intensity will increase the likelihood of covered pavements. The snow will lighten up considerably during the evening but may linger through midnight. Areas of re-freeze will follow into early Saturday. If we have any road problems we'll advised via social media.
